Jamaica's first people were the Tianos who came from south America and settled in Jamaica at 600 AD and they spoke Arawakan. Jamiaca used to stuggle fighting for equity, justice, and independence. The majority of Jamaica's population are Africans that are decendants of slaves brought to the island by European colonists, but Jamaica also has people of Idian, Spanish, Chinese, German, Portugese, Syrian, Lebanese, English, Taino, Irish, French, and Welsh.
