Foods

The foods that Jamaica provides are magnificent and these foods are things like spicy jerk, fresh seafood, delicious stews, ital food, and tropical fruit that you will never forget about. Some of the popular dishes in Jamaica are curry goat, fried dumpling, ackee, and saltfish. Jamaican families have tradition to have a large sociable lunch or brunch but dont have much time to make it so it tends to be on a sunday, sometimes for dinner. The foods that they would they would have for this usually includes chicken, fish, yams, fried plantains, and rice with peas.

Becuase of German's great influence on Jamaica, Jamaicans are modest and conservative dressers. And the display of skin in formal environments is frowned upon. The official language of Jamaica is English but in some areas you will hear a foreign language called Patois. Patois is a colorful language that has been shaped by the languages spoken in Jamaica already which includes African, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English colonial heritage. Did you you know that Jamaican musical heritage stems from their African and European roots? These thumping sounds are rich and infectious and encompass expression of personal freedom.
